Management Orientation Module

Objective and Purpose:

To coach management on the purpose, framework and functioning of a process architecture BPM COE for the purpose of achieving commitment.

This management orientation module shall provide members of the process management team the knowledge required to plan a functioning process architecture within the construct of a BPM Centre of Excellence(COE). The following topics are covered:

A follow-up session shall be scheduled with the process management team to perform the following activities:

Provide a refresher on topics
Establish the elements of a roll-out plan
Pre-requisits for setting up a BPM COE
Provide guidance on a "Go/NoGo" decision

Deliver training session(s) covering scope topics
Document and distribute session discussion content covered
Deliver follow-up session
Document and distribute session discussion content covered
Facilitate and establish "Go/NoGo" Decision
Guide team to coordinate resources required to move to the Set-Up stage
Guide team to develop a roll-out plan

BPM Centre of Excellence Set-Up Module

Objective and Purpose:

To build a BPM Centre of Excellence (COE) for the purpose of establishing a functioning process architecture

Scope

Deliverables

The following activities will be performed to set-up the BPM Centre of Excellence (COE)*:

Develop and execute a project charter and plan, timelines, resources, risks, assumptions
Confirm senior management support
Develop, communicate and promote the BPM COE mission
Align BPM COE mission with coprorate strategy
Develop and execute a communication plan
Define the BPM COE organisational structure
BPM COE roles and responsibilities
Recruite and train resources
Develop and promote BPM COE cycle
Develop and promote problem escalation hiererachy
Develop and promote cross functional resolution model
Develop and document BPM governance
Develop the lifecycle of a project
Develop and promote BPM COE performance standards, and measures
Develop and promote operating policies and procedures
Develop and document required standards
